Exploring the school with tablets(1年生)

This week in the first-grade classes, the students are spreading their wings and exploring the school on their own while learning to use their new iPad at the same time. The students choose a room that they want to investigate. While respecting the students studying in the class, the 1st graders observe the room and find an area that is of interest. Then  take a picture to take back to the classroom.

In pervious years, students would explore the school with paper and a pencil. They would draw something they found interesting. Sometimes even the students would forget what item was before they returned to the classroom, but with the use of the iPad, the students can take a picture and return to the classroom to finish their report with confidence.

This year, the students will explore the school with their iPad and taking pictures of the different areas in the school in “photo rally” fashion.

Over the next few months, the 1st graders will be using their iPads across most subjects in order learn how use the iPad as a tool to enhance their own learning.

We are excited to see what they can discover.
