Today was the first day back from summer vacation for our students. In the morning we had an assembly where the principal spoke to the students about new things happening in the school and introduced our new transfer students. After their short self-introduction, the school all stood up and welcomed them with a song.

Upon returning to classes, there was a sense of excitement as the students met with their friends and teachers for the first time in over a month. Many of the students shared stories about what they had done over the vacation such as trips abroad, different events they went to, and summer programs that they had participated in.

Many students also brought in dioramas, posters, books etc. that they prepared over the summer, highlighting a topic that they had chosen to research about. Students showed a lot of intrigue as they looked over what their peers had prepared over the summer. It’s always interesting looking at all the different topics and materials that the students choose and prepare.

Although the summer heat is showing no sign of letting up, the refreshed look on all the students’ faces has brought with them a renewed air. We are glad that they are excited to use that gained energy to come to school and start their studies back up without a missed step.
