Hibari Q&A(3年生)

In our 3rd-grade English classes, we kick off the first five minutes by reviewing familiar sentence structures and giving students the chance to express their own thoughts and feelings. We call this routine Hibari Q&A! With over 100 questions to choose from, it serves as a fantastic daily review. It’s a quick, enjoyable way to reinforce older grammar structures while picking up new vocabulary at the same time.

When our 3rd graders get stuck on a word, they know exactly what to do: ask a friend or head over to Mr. Yamada’s Question Corner! By simply asking, “How do you say ___ in English?”, they get the help they need. It’s created a fun, pressure-free environment that teaches the kids that asking for help is a completely natural and productive way to learn.

I am incredibly proud of how far the Class of ’79 has come this year. They work hard right up to the bell and embrace their mistakes without frustration. This wonderful attitude toward learning is going to carry them so far!
