It takes a village(2年生)

It is often said “It takes a village” when we refer to raising children.

It is imperative that children learn from many different sources! And without cooperation from a variety of adults within society, our children will not thrive as they could.

As the students in 2nd year continue to learn about and explore the communities that they live in, the students in all 4 classes decided on the shop that they wanted to visit and learn more details.

The students formed questions as well as thought about how they would talk to the shop owners.

Due to heavy rain, the interviews had to be postponed.

With the help of parent volunteers, the students were able to start their interviews this week.

We are very grateful to the shop owners who gave our Hibari students a wonderful opportunity to get a first-hand look at the world of work and community helpers.

And finally, a big Thank you to the parent volunteers who lead groups of students so these wonderful experiences could be possible.
